The deadline for the first session is Wednesday, October 25th.  Registration for all of our leagues can be done on-line, right from our website, through our e-Register and e-Pay system.

Far Post and Nordic Soccer Clubs

Collaborate to Provide Indoor Leagues

The Soccer Center is a collaborative and cooperative effort of the Nordic and Far Post Soccer Clubs to provide the best indoor competitive soccer experience for Vermont soccer players of all ages and abilities.  In coming together to create The Soccer Center, Far Post and Nordic’s purpose is to establish a soccer center and indoor soccer leagues that bring together the best soccer players in Vermont to raise the competitive standard of indoor soccer players, and as an ultimate result, the competitive standard of the game of soccer in Vermont.

Your Total Indoor Soccer Experience: 7v7 and Futsal

The Soccer Center offers two non-boarded indoor leagues:  Futsal and 7v7.  Futsal is a small-sided game (5v5 including the goalkeepers) played on a small field roughly the size of a basketball court. The game is played with the touchline boundaries and does not require the use of dasher boards. The official ball is a special low bounce ball that is smaller than an official size 5 soccer ball. The ball forces a player to use their skill rather than the ball’s bounce to propel it.  In order to provide something that combines the skill of Futsal and the open field running and tactics of arena soccer, The Soccer Center is providing 7v7 indoor league play. The field is twice that of the Futsal field, the game is played with a regular soccer ball, and there are no walls.  7v7 games will consist of six (6) field players plus a goalkeeper.  Rules will be similar to the former boarded league rules with the exception that there will be kick-ins when the ball goes out of bounds. Players will substitute “on the fly.”

The Soccer Center is dedicated to providing both youth and adult soccer players the best possible soccer experience available in the State of Vermont. This is not only from a soccer point of view but also from the safety and insurance perspective.  We’re committed to be the most organized and professionally run indoor soccer center in the state.  This is what makes The Soccer Center the place to play indoor soccer this winter.

Unlike any other league in Vermont, The Soccer Center will help those teams in need of players and players in need of a team.  Use the links from the homepage on our website to submit your information.  The staff at The Soccer Center will do its best to find an appropriate match.

Player Registration

Far Post and Nordic Soccer clubs are the leading clubs in Vermont offering the highest standard of play in the state and a comparable level of play catering for every team’s needs. Every indoor league player will be registered and insured with either the Vermont Soccer Association (youth) or the Vermont State Soccer Association (adults) to insure the safety and well being of all participants.  The Soccer Center is the only indoor center in Vermont to register and affiliate their adult players with the VSSA.  These registrations and affiliations carry a liability and secondary medical insurance for players, coaches, and spectators.  This enables all of The Soccer Center’s leagues to be sanctioned by the above organizations and the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).  All referees for The Soccer Center games will be USSF-certified.

To register the players, The Soccer Center will collect a registration fee of $4 per youth player and $15 per adult player.  Players only need to pay this fee once for the entire winter season, regardless of what league at The Soccer Center (Futsal or 7v7) you play in and how many times you play!

 T-Shirts & Available Practice Time

The Soccer Center will provide each team with a supply of T-shirts to be worn at all Futsal and 7v7 games.  In addition, The Soccer Center is pleased to offer teams one (1) hour (per session) of floor space to hold a team practice.  Space is available on a first come first served basis.  Please contact our indoor staff to schedule your date and time.
