accepting registrations for Session III! As teams prepare
for the outdoor season, we anticipate being filled to capacity
and encourage early registration. Remember, teams are not
considered registered until paid in full!

SOCCER
MOMS' LEAGUE |
Attention, Moms!
Here's a chance to develop a better
understanding of your child's love for the game of soccer
through The Soccer Center's new Soccer Moms' League.

Exercise weekly with friends.

way – by playing.

Learn the proper passing & dribbling
techniques
Get Fit. Be
healthy. Have fun.
In Session II, a group
of moms entered a team in the Women's Futsal League.
From this, the idea of a special just for 'soccer moms' was
born! Giovanna Yaranga, mom of Far Post players
Madison and Andrea, played on the first Soccer Moms Futsal
team:
I want
to share my experience with the soccer mom's league and tell
you how much fun I am having. My dad played for one of the
professional teams in Peru in his young years and I longed
to play as a child. However, he did not train me because
where I come from girls were not allowed to play. I tried to
convince him to let me play, but he was afraid of my well
being (getting hurt). Sometimes I was successful and he
allowed me to play with my brothers whenever they needed an
extra person. Throughout my life I have been wanting to play
soccer, but the circumstances would not allow. As an adult,
I wanted to join leagues, but felt shy and self-conscious
about my abilities, so I when I got an email from Cathy
Hudson recruiting mom's with no experience to form a league
I was ecstatic. For the first time in my life I am playing
in a real team...Through this experience I have come to
realize how much I love soccer and how difficult it is to
actually play. Every Wednesday when I am done with soccer I
feel exhausted but alive... The excitement of running after
the ball without much success of touching it, makes me want
to work harder and run faster the following week. My husband
keeps asking me if I have scored.. and I say that is not the
point... Needless to say, through this process I have
developed a different perspective and an appreciation for
the game that I have promised myself I will not yell at my
daughter when she makes a mistake on the court. It is not
easy, but a ton of fun!!! So come and join me in
Session III in the mom's league, and I guarantee you a night
full of excitement and enjoyment.

NEW
TOWN TEAM LEAGUE |
|
The Soccer Center
is offering the
NEW
Town Teams League in an effort to introduce Futsal to
coaches and players who’ve never had the opportunity to
experience this exciting game. The Town Teams Futsal league is
designed specifically for town teams only. Our staff
will work with coaches and players to provide a better
understanding of game – the rules and the tactics. The first
week will be a practice session to teach the kids (and coaches)
all the intricacies of the game, setting them up for success for
the remaining six weeks of league play.
Todd Kingsbury
from The Soccer Center, says,
“There’s a
reason
Ronaldinho considers Futsal
his first love!” Players have more time with the ball; they
learn to make quick decisions; they learn to work well together
– defending, attacking all together.”
The nature of
Futsal engages all players throughout the game ~ an excellent
preparation for the outdoor season.

HIGH SCHOOL 'SCHOOL LEAGUES' |

The Soccer Center is pleased to
introduce a new Schools League designed for competition
among area high schools. The Soccer Center recognizes that
players have strong allegiances to their club teams and would
enjoy having the opportunity to play with their schoolmates.
Here’s your chance to demonstrate
school pride and maintain your soccer skills during the winter
season! Get a group of 7 or 8 soccer mates and play for
your school colors in the new Schools League for high school
players!

Soccer’s not just
